Stand Up For Libraries
Public libraries
are the great equalizer. Their mission is
one of learning, equal access, and community
– but this role is impaired when libraries
have poor service hours. Minneapolis has
among the lowest number of library service
hours in the country. The Friends’
primary goal is to expand public funding to
support at least six days of full operations
at all Minneapolis Public Libraries. You can
make a difference. Please help us as we work
with our elected officials to get libraries
open when we need them. A great way to start
is by signing up for our electronic
newsletter, which provides timely updates on
critical library issues -- including calls
to action. Sign-up below.
