John M. Ford Book Endowment
The Friends have established the John M. Ford Book Endowment fund that will support the annual purchase of books in Mike’s name. Your gift to this fund will serve as an on-going tribute to Mr. Ford to be enjoyed by library users for many generations to come.
The Minneapolis Public Library (MPL) has the 4th largest central library collection in the country, and the John M. Ford Book Endowment will help MPL maintain and strengthen its unique collection. In turn, your gift helps The Friends fulfill its commitment to the community to help ensure that all Minneapolitans have free and equal access to library resources. In addition to new book purchases, The Friends’ library support includes funding literacy initiatives for children and adults, coordinating hundreds of library volunteers, and advocating for strong public funding of our library system.
Your gift, which will be listed in our Speaking Volumes Newsletter and our annual report, is 100% tax-deductible to the full extent of the United States tax laws.
